Fire Extinguisher Recall

A number of Kidde™ dual-sensor smoke alarms have recently been recalled for safety concerns. Please be advised that Carleton University does NOT use or have on premises any smoke detectors included in this, or previous recalls.

However, we encourage everyone to check their home smoke detectors manufactured between September 10^th 2016 and October 13^th 2017 and obtain a free replacement if included in the recall. Affected smoke detectors have a yellow cap visible through the side of the alarm. See HERE for pictures and more information about this recall.
